What is blogging? Blogging is a way to express yourself about topics you have more than the average amount of information on. Blogging is a way to create a following and to get others interested in the same topic. Blogging is a way to release some of the information you have collected over the years on a topic your are just manic about. Blogging opens you up to others that may have the same topic addictions as you and also to new ideas about a specific subject you may not have been exposed to yet.
Isn't blogging the same as posting in the TowNation forums? NO! Blogging is your house and you control the content that is allowed through the front door. You are the Man (or the woman as the case may be) of the house here!
Blogging requires a committment. It's not like posting on a forum. As much as I would like to see everyone blogging, I have to say it isn't for everyone. Having said that, I see members that are here everyday. I know this because they start each day by saying "Good Morning!" to everyone else in the spywall. It's part of their routine. Almost every one of these people have some topic that they excel at. Be it accident recovery, Motor Club work, tow truck repair, designs, tool usage. Bookkeeping, sales, I mean the list of topics are endless. How hard would it be to add 15 minutes a night to creating a new blog entry? Maybe it's time to ever so slightly change your daily routine and start a blog!
A successful blogger creates a following by being persistent. Bloggers that make an entry once a month will always fail miserably. Bloggers that post several times a week tend to attract a following of blog readers that want to see what's new on Joe's blog today. they know Joe always has something to say and are interested in following and commenting on his specific topics of interest.
Remember, you're only an expert on a topic if other people judge you that way. The only way that's going to happen is if you release some of that pent up information so that it may help another tower get through his day!
